Memories are complex processes in our brain that can come to us suddenly and repeatedly. Each time we reactivate a memory, we unconsciously change it and store it again in a slightly modified version. Because of this transience, we feel the need to capture fleeting moments in some form.
The work Me-Mory addresses the current shift from physical objects to digital data as memory carriers. With the help of the visual approach to the charm bracelet, the work picks up on an archetypal
archetypal jewelry object, which strings together real emotions experienced by the owner in materiality. Instead of conventionally commercialized symbols, the binary code is used in this work as a materialized memory carrier and access for the changing emotions.
